ADR Experience
Worked full time as a mediator since 2003 with high success rate in areas of trust and estate matters and elder law, business, real estate, and tort litigation. Over 30 years of experience handling business litigation in state and federal courts, including appellate experience. Subjects include securities broker/dealer litigation; commercial litigation and commercial loan and banking matters. Have been involved in real estate development including planning commission and city council matters. Experience in corporate and banking transactional matters including commercial leasing, real estate development for commercial use and regional shopping centers, loan documentation, purchase and sale documentation. Also serve as a court appointed referee and private professional fiduciary. In 2006, co-presented a mediation training class at the annual symposium of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in Washington D.C.
Representative Cases Handled As Mediator
Served as mediator in a wide variety of litigated and pre-litigation matters that involved trust and estate litigation, elder abuse cases, real estate developers, municipalities, local businesses, professional partnerships, real estate buyers, sellers, insurance companies and professionals.
Multi-Party Dispute Resolution Experience
As mediator assisted in several complex litigation matters involving multi-party partnership dissolution, complex fire cases, pre-litigation dispute resolution involving buyers, sellers, and real estate licensees, brokers and developers. Applied trust and estate administration and elder law experience to multi-family member disputes.
ADR Experience
Over 30 years of experience in arbitration and mediation as an advocate. Served as neutral for the Los Angeles Superior Court Pay Panel, Pro Bono Panel, the Los Angeles Superior Court Probate Panel and national panel of mediators through Mediation Network.net. and a Settlement Officer for the United States District Court, Central District.
ADR Training
Completed both basic mediation training course and advance mediation training at Loyola Law School through Loyola Law School's Disability Mediation Center. Advanced mediation training programs in 2005 and 2008 presented by mediation faculty from Peperdine University program sponsored by the United States District Court, Central District and the Los Angeles Superior Court.
